January book wrap up 2016

It is the end of January. One month of 2016 has already been and gone. Which means that it is time for my January book wrap up post. I read a total of 7 books in the month of January. Here are the books.

The first book that I read in the month of January was Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I won't go into too much detail about this book (if you want to know more read my Red Queen book review, but beware it does contain spoilers). Basically it is about a world divided by blood. The people are either red blooded which means they are commoners, or they are silver blooded which essentialy means that they are royalty. The main character is red blooded and was brought up by a red family but things happen and she finds out that she was born into a silver family, and she possesses some very awesome powers. I ship Mare and Maven soooooo much and I still have hope that they can be together. I can't wait to read Glass Sword, which is out sometime in February I think. I really loved this book it was amazing. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

The second book that I read was The Isle of the Lost by Melissa De La Cruz. The story focuses on 4 children of some of the most evil Disney villains of all time. The main characters are Mal (daughter of Maleficent), Evie (daughter of the Evil Queen), Carlos (son of Cruella De Vil), and Jay (son of Jafar). I won't go into too much detail about the book. The evil villains are banished from the United States of Auradon to the Isle of the Lost. The story is set twenty years after they were banished and it focuses on the 4 main characters who I said earlier. There is also Descendants which is a film, and it is essentially a sequel to The Isle of the Lost. I really enjoyed the book and the film. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

The third book that I read was Casino Royale by Ian Fleming. This is the first book in the James Bond series. I have watched all of the films so I thought why don't I try the books. I received Casino Royale for Christmas. I read it and the book was ok but the film was a lot better.  I will probably read all of the books even though it isn't the best book that I have read. But I did still enjoy it. I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

The 4th book that I read this month was Hello Life by Marcus Butler. This is a book that is part biography part self help guide by one of my favourite Youtubers. I managed to read this book in two days and I can't even explain how good this book is. It is such an amazing book and not only did I enjoy finding out more about Marcus' life but also things to do to help me through my own life. It is literally an amazing book. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.

The 5th book that I read this month was Life and Death (Twilight reimagined) by Stephenie Meyer. This book was released for the 10th anniversary of Twilight. Half of the book is Twilight and half of it is Life and Death. Life and Death is essentially Twilight, but it is retold. There is also a gender swap element. So Bella is now a boy called Beau, and Edward is now a girl called Edythe. The story is pretty much the same to Twilight, the main difference is the gender swap, but also the ending of the story is different which is good. I really enjoyed this book and I give it 5 out of 5 stars.

The 6th book that I read in January was The Duff by Kody Keplinger. I got the movie tie in cover because who wouldn't want a book with Robbie Amell, Bella Thorne and Skyler Samuels on. Anyway I had watched the film way before I read the book. I enjoyed the film so I knew that the book would be good. I received this book as a Christmas present and I decided to read it this month. It took me 2 days to complete, and I enjoyed. It was really good and it is one of my favourites that I read this month. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

The final book that I read this month was the Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide. This book is a companion to the Twilight Saga. It contains information about the different characters as well as tons of other things. It is an amazing book and I give it 5 out of 5 stars.

25 bookish facts about me

This tag is going around on Youtube and I have watched a few of the videos of this tag, so I thought why don't I do this on my blog. So here are 25 bookish facts about me.

1. I have never read the Harry Potter books, and I don't intend to

2. I have read books since I was a kid, but the book that properly got me into reading was Twilight

3. When I borrow library books, I cannot stand it when the pages are folded at the corners

4. I prefer reading paperbacks to hardbacks

5. Whenever I read a hardback I have to take the dust jacket off, because I hate how it moves when I am reading

6. I have only ever read 2 classic books, which are Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck and Casino Royale by Ian Fleming

7. I like to put sticky tabs in my books if there is a scene or a quote that I like

8. I have only 2 bookish posters. I have one of Jacob Black from Twilight, and I have one with quotes from The Fault in Our Stars. I also have a Mockingjay calender for 2016 but that isn't a poster

9. I own 2 bookish necklaces. I have a Clockwork Angel necklace from The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare, and I have Isabelle Lightwood's necklace from The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

10. I have owned The Host by Stephenie Meyer for about 2 maybe 3 years now and I still haven't read it, but I have seen the film which was really good

11. If anyone ever asked me to borrow one of my books I would refuse, I don't want people touching my books

12. I order all of my books online because they are cheaper, and because I don't have a decent book store where I live

13. I love reading books that are based on my favourite TV shows

14. There was only 3 books that I started last year that I couldn't finish. They were, The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black, The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey, and The Lying Game by Sara Shepard

15. The Twilight Saga is my favourite book series

16. A Court of Thorns and Roses is one of my favourite books that I read last year

17. I do not care if the spines on paperback books crack, it just shows that they have been read

18. The longest book that I have ever read is City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare which is 700 something pages

19. My second favourite book series is The Mortal Instruments

20. I own one book by Stephen King which is Salem's Lot, I have had it a couple of years, but I still haven't read it

21. The only book that I really enjoyed in the Divergent series was Divergent

22. I own 3 books by some of my favourite Youtubers and I love all 3 of the books. They are Girl Online by Zoe Sugg aka Zoella, Binge by Tyler Oakley and Hello Life by Marcus Butler

23. I got Binge by Tyler Oakley for Christmas, I started it that day and I also finished it that day

24. The quickest I have read a book is in 30 minutes but it was a graphic novel

25. I keep buying more books even though I have books that I still haven't read yet

Here are my notes for this episode.

- Aria wants to leave Rosewood, other girls say they are staying

- Sara checking into the hotel

- Hanna says she knows Aria left the hotel the night that Charlotte was killed

- Aria makes an excuse

- Aria says she has a plane to catch

- Bloggers trying to link the girls to Charlotte's death

- Ali at the police station, she sees Sara there

- Charlotte's neck was broken by blunt force trauma before she was thrown from the bell tower

- Lorenzo asks Ali if she thinks the girls had anything to do with Charlotte's death, she says no

- Pam asks Emily if she wants to visit her dads grave

Teen Wolf 5x13 "Codominance" notes

Here are the notes that I took for episode 13 of Season 5 of Teen Wolf.

- Kira fighting skinwalkers

- Skinwalkers going to try and help Kira, if they can't she will become one of them

- Scott tells Liam he is going to get Kira back

-Liam says he wants to come but Scott says no

- Stiles got his jeep working

- Theo and Tracy in the school, Dread Doctors and Beast of Gevaudan show up, then disappear

- Kira may have to spend months or years learning from the skinwalkers, becoming a skinwalker may be the only thing that can save her, she must pass the skinwalkers test

- La bete had to be erased from history

- Liam sees Theo with Hayden, Liam gets pissed off

- Scott thinks that Malia has found her mother and wants to kill her

- Kira goes to do the skinwalkers test

Totally Should've book tag

The second post today is a book tag. It is the Totally should've book tag. Basically there are 11 statements that include the words totally should've and you just have to answer them. So here is that tag.

1. Totally should've gotten a sequel. This one is hard because I can't think of any stand alone that should have had a sequel and I can't think of any book series that should have had another book.

2. Totally should've had a spin off series. My favorite book series of all time is Twilight. So I feel like a spin off series would be awesome. In would love a spin off series about the Quileute tribe and their legends or one of the Cullen's or even one about the Volturi.

3. An author who totally should write more books. Stephenie Meyer. I love her writing and she is my favorite author. So I would love to read more by her.

4. A character who totally should've ended up with someone else. I'm going to go with Penny from Girl Online by Zoe Sugg. I don't think that Noah is right for her. I mean he lied to her and I just think she could do better. I still haven't bought or read Girl Online On Tour.

5. Totally should've ended differently. The Fault in Our Stars. If you have read this book you will know why.

6. Totally should've had a movie franchise. The Magisterium series by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare. There are only two books in the series out right now, but I think if they made films they would be really good.

7. Totally should've had a TV show. Percy Jackson and the Olympians. There were films for the first two books in the series while I enjoyed them they were kind of a flop so I think Percy Jackson should be given another chance.

8. Totally should've only had one point of view. Allegiant. Need I say more.

9. Totally should have a cover change. I love the covers of the books I own so I can't choose one.

10. Totally should've kept the original covers. I don't know.

11. Totally should've stopped at book one. OK so I don't think this series should have stopped at book one but I feel like book two and three could have been written a lot better. The series is Divergent.

Pretty Little Liars 6x11 "Of Late I Think of Rosewood" notes

Yesterday I uploaded the notes that I took for the new episode of Teen Wolf, so today I am going to do the same from the new episode of Pretty Little Liars.

PLL season 6B started on Tuesday. The last time we saw the liars we finally found out who had been tormenting them for all those years. It turned out to be Cece Drake aka Charlotte DiLaurentis. We heard her story. Cece was then locked up in a hospital and she has been there for 5 years. 6B takes place 5 years after the girls found out who A was. So here are my notes from episode 11 of season 6 of PLL.

- Alison reading to her class.

- Dr Rollins shows up to tell Alison about the court hearing.

- Alison starts writing letters to the girls.

- Spencer reading letter from Alison.

- Aria sees Ezra's book and then reads the letter from Ali

- Hanna on a plane with a little kid, she was looking after someone else's daughter

- Emily reading letter from Ali

- Ali tells Charlotte she will get her home

- Spencer back in Rosewood, sees a group of girls getting texts at the same time, assumes the worst

- Girls meet up in Rosewood Grille

- Radley sanitarium turned into a hotel owned by Ashley Marin

- Veronica Hastings running for State Senate

- Aria goes to the Grille to see Ezra

- Spencer goes to see Toby

- Girls meet up with Alison

- Alison wants the girls to tell the court that they aren't scared of Charlotte

- Mona asks Spencer if she still has nightmares

- Toby telling Emily what happened between him and Spencer.

- Court hearing for Charlotte

- Aria has flashbacks of what A has done to her.

- Aria tells the court she wouldn't feel safe if Charlotte was released, says she doesn't want her released ever.

- Mona says the court should let Charlotte be released

- Girls get text from Ali saying Charlotte can go home

-Girls make a toast to Charlotte

- Shot of camera

- Ali phoned asking if the girls have seen Charlotte, she's disappeared

- Emily knocks her bag on the floor, and pills and other stuff fall out of her bag

- Police find dead body. It is Charlotte

- Caleb goes to see Hanna

- Charlotte's funeral

- Sara Harvey shows up at the funeral in a black veil

- Lorenzo asks the girls if they're staying in Rosewood

- Autopsy reports say Charlotte was murdered

- Someone in car looking at girls, car drives off

Teen Wolf 5x12 "Damnation Memoriae" notes

Last week I did a review of episode 11 of Teen Wolf season 5. So this week I thought I would do another post about episode 12 but this time rather than a full review I will post the notes I took from the episode. And I will do one for Pretty Little Liars because I took notes for the new episode too. Here are the notes that I thought were the most important.

-Liam and Hayden running away from sort of creature.

- Hayden tells Liam that Theo saved her life, and Liam doesn't seem too happy about that.

- Tracy and Theo visit someone in the hospital and Tracy kills him. (I'm not sure who the person was)

- Chris Argent takes a plant out of a safe

- Sheriff Stilinski asks Stiles why he didn't tell him about Donovan. He tells Stiles it was self defense and he says he would do anything to protect Stiles including burning down the Sheriff's station.

-Malia and Braeden attacking someone to get information about the desert wolf. He tells them where she was last seen and that she is holding Deaton hostage.

- Corey asking Mason out (so cute)

- Lydia has vision of someone coming out of a bathtub (I couldn't tell who it was at this point)

- Theo tells Hayden she can't hide anything from him

- Scott still not healing

-Revealed that it was Meredith in Lydia's vision. She tells Lydia that she needs to wake up

- Theo tells Scott that they are on the same side

-Theo says that the creature isn't a chimera

- Cute Layden scene

- Dread Doctors resurrected an old creature they didn't create one

-Chris visits Gerard and shows him the plant. Gerard then does some creepy shit with the plant (it looks like he eats it but I am not sure about that)

-Gerard knows about the Dread doctors

- Gerard tells Chris the creature was Le Bête or the Beast of Gévaudan

- Kira and Noshiko in desert looking for the skinwalkers

Teen Wolf 5x11 "The Last Chimera" review

Teen Wolf Season 5 is back. I am so happy. If you have read some of my previous posts, then you will know that Teen Wolf is my favourite TV show. Anyway I thought I would do a review on last nights episode of Teen Wolf. Due to the fact that I don't live in America I can't watch any American TV shows the day that they air. So I have to watch them the day after, and I have to try and avoid Instagram so I don't see any spoilers. So I watched episode 11 of season 5 when I got home from college today.

The episode starts off with Lydia in Eichen House talking to Dr Valack. He is asking her questions, and he has drilled a hole in her head so you can remember things easier. She mentions that Theo let his little sister die. He wanted her heart in order for him to become a genetic chimera. Dr Valack also says that Theo was the first step in the right direction for the Dread Doctors to create the perfect killer.

There was one thing that I noticed that didn't make much sense to me. I don't know if anyone else saw it, but there was something different with Dr Valack. Going back to Season 4 of Teen Wolf, Dr Valack had a hole drilled into his forehead, which for some strange reason (I can't remember if it was explained) had a third eye in it. Which is completely disusting. Anyway in 5x11 I couldn't see the hole in his head. I know in 5A the Dread Doctors did something to the third eye after Lydia and Stiles talked to Valack about the Dread Doctors book, but surely he would still have the hole there.

Anyway moving on. We also saw Theo and his Chimera pack walking into Eichen house. The guy behind the desk (I can't remember his name) says that it is past visiting hours. Tracy says they aren't visiting, and Theo says that they are there for Lydia Martin. What could Theo possibly want with Lydia.

Sheriff Stilinski is in the hospital in critical condition after being attacked. Scott turns up to the hospital to see how the Sheriff is doing and then Stiles attacks Scott yelling at him asking where he was when the Sheriff was attacked. Later in the episode it is revealed that the Sheriff was poisoned by a chimera bone. A bone from the chimera that attacked him. But more on that later.

There was also a Parrish shower scene. Who doesn't love a shower scene? Anyway Parrish starts imagining that Lydia is in the shower with him. You gotta love a good Marrish scene, even if they aren't real. Anyway we then see a camera shot of the shower floor, and there is these disgusting bits that look like flesh. Anyway Lydia says that it is a sign that someone is dying. It then turns out that it was Parrish's dream and he was in fact almost falling asleep at the wheel and he nearly crashes into another vehicle. Parrish is then determined to find Lydia. Parrish finds Lydia in the woods, and then she is taken to the hospital. More on that later.

Liam wants to tell Hayden's sister that she is dead, but Mason tries to stop him. Liam catches a scent that he believes is Hayden's. Liam is determined to find Hayden. So him and Mason go to the school Library to find a map to help them find the Nemeton, because that is where Parrish took all the dead chimeras. Liam and Mason are in the woods looking for the Nemeton, but they are finding it difficult. Mason tells Liam to use his werewolf eyes to find it, which he does.

Stiles goes to see Lydia in her hospital room. However Lydia's mother refuses to let him in, blaming him and the others for what has happened to Lydia. He tells her to check Lydia's neck as she shuts the door in his face. Mrs Martin checks Lydia's neck and sees Theo's claw marks, from where he tried to look into her memories (which is what made her catatonic). Mrs Martin decides to have Lydia admitted into Eichen House. As Lydia is loaded into the ambulance, Parrish tells Mrs Martin that he will find a way to get Lydia out of Eichen house.

Stiles and Theo have a conversation, where Scott listens in. Stiles tells Theo that he killed his bestfriend, trying to make Theo believe that Scott is actually dead. Theo tells Stiles that he isn't the bady guy. But it sure seems that way at the moment. Despite the fact that Theo is evil I can't help but love him, and it doesn't help that he is portrayed by Cody Christian who I love so much. Theo also tells Stiles that it wasn't him that attacked Sheriff Stilinski, which means it is another chimera. Who we find out is called Noah.

Anyway Stiles, Scott and Malia go looking for Noah. Malia reveals to Scott that her and Stiles broke up. I was devastated I ship Stalia. I love Stalia so finding that out broke my heart, anyway I hope Stiles and Malia get back together soon. Hopefully the breakup isn't for long. The Dread Doctors then show up, so Stiles takes Noah away to get away from them. Malia is worried about fighting the Dread Doctors, so Scott reassures her by saying "Your not the only one I called." Chris Argent then shows up shooting at the Dread Doctors, unfortunately no bullets hit them. Anyway I am so glad that Chris is back. I love him so much. Chris is portrayed by JR Bourne, who is extremely attractive. I do find some older celebrities quite attractive. That has given me an idea for a blog post. But I won't talk about that now. Anyway I am just so happy that Chris is back. I have inserted a picture of him below.

Hayden and Theo are then trying to look for Noah. Hayden tells Theo that she thinks Noah is dying. We then see a scene of Noah with that mercury stuff all around his mouth. The Dread Doctors show up and kill him. Hayden and Theo then see a symbol. It is Scott's pack symbol. Picture of the symbol below.

The episode ends with Theo and his chimera pack trying to take Lydia from Eichen House. Dr Valack, asks what they want with a Banshee. Theo reveals that he doesn't want Lydia really, but he is looking for a HellHound. Parrish (who is the hellhound) shows up in flames at Eichen House, and that is how the episode ends.

This episode of Teen Wolf was amazing, and there was so much stuff going on. If you are a Teen Wolf fan and are reading this comment below. I will post again soon.

Red Queen book review

Yesterday I finished reading Red Queen, so I thought I would do a quick book review on it. If you are reading this comment below saying hello or something like that (so I know that people are actually reading my blog, because it says people are but I'm not so sure).

I find that the book kind of started off slow. I couldn't get straight into it, and read lots of chapters in a row like I normally do. But then the book eventually started to get better. And once it got better I really enjoyed it.

Yesterday I just read lots and lots of chapters so I could finish the book, and move on to my next book. I didn't want the book to end.

The book is about a world divided by blood. There are the people with red blood who are the commoners like the main character Mare. And then there are the silvers who are royalty. Mare was grown up to believe that she was born into a red family, but that isn't true.  Mare is red blooded, but she was born into a silver family. Her real name isn't Mare Barrow, it is Lady Mareena Titanos.

In the Stilts (where she lives), she meets Cal, who she believes is also a red. Mare then gets called to the palace for a job, where she finds out that Cal is actually a silver, he is a prince and he is the heir to the throne. Mare then becomes betrothed to Cal's younger brother Maven.

Mare and Cal share a kiss when he is teaching her how to dance. Maven knew all about it.

Maven and Mare are in league with the Scarlet Guard (a group of red rebels). However Maven is only pretending. Maven then gets Cal to kill the king, and he sentences Cal and Mare to death. Mare is devastated by the fact that Maven betrayed her. Maven then becomes the king.

Cal and Mare manage to escape. She wakes up on a train to find that the Scarlet Guard are there. And she finds out that her brother Shade who she thought was dead is actually still alive.

I loved this book so much, and I can't wait until Glass Sword is out which is the sequel to this book. I ship Maven and Mare, and I am still hoping that somehow there is a chance for them. When Maven betrayed Mare, I cried. I just want them to be together but I don't know if that will happen.

Glass Sword is out on February 9th 2016. I am sorry if this book review sucks because I am no good at book reviews. Anyway if any of you have read Red Queen, tell me in the comments what you think about. Who do you ship? Thank you for reading (if anyone is actually reading).

TV shows starting in 2016

I thought I would do a quick blog post about the shows that are starting in 2016, that I am looking forward to. These shows are either starting the second half of the season and they haven't been on telly for a few months. Or they are starting a new season. Or they are a completely new show.

1. Teen Wolf Season 5B (January 5th). I can't wait for Teen Wolf only 4 more days.

2. Pretty Little Liars Season 6B (January 12th). Only 11 more days.

3. Shadowhunters Season 1 (January 12th)

4. New Girl Season 5 (January 5th)

5. Legends of Tomorrow Season 1 (January 21st)

6. The 100 Season 3 (January 21st). I still need to watch all of season 2 but I will probably finish that before season 3 starts.

7. Total Divas Season 5 (January 19th)

8. Fuller House (February 26th)

9. Suits Season 5B (January 27th)

10. Once Upon a Time Season 5B (March 6th)

I think that is all of the shows that I am looking forward to. I know I only started this blog yesterday and I already have a few posts, but I just write posts as the idea comes to me because I don't want to forget it. What shows are you looking forward to in 2016? Comment below.

Favourite Celebrities of 2015

In this blog post I thought that I would talk about my favourite celebrities of 2015. These are my top 5 favourite celebrities of 2015. I will say a bit about why I love them, along with one of my favourite pictures of theirs from 2015 that they posted on Instagram.

1. Shay Mitchell. What can I say about Shay. She is an amazing actress. She is also extremely beautiful and is Queen. Shay plays Emily Fields in one of my favourite TV shows, Pretty Little Liars. Emily isn't my favourite of the liars, but she is still an amazing character. Shay also has her own YouTube Channel, which of course I am subscribed to. I love watching her videos, especially her Q&A videos, because I love to find out more about Shay. I love the picture of Shay because not only does she look extremely beautiful, but she is also in the picture of another one of my favourite actresses, Ashley Benson. ButtahBenzo for life.

2. Ian Bohen. Ian plays Peter Hale in Teen Wolf. Not only is Ian extremely good looking for an older man, he is also an amazing actor. I love the character of Peter, as much as I love Ian. Ian makes funny tweets on twitter. He posts funny pictures on Instagram, like the one I chose. I chose the picture, because it is funny, but also has Ian's co-star on Teen Wolf, and another one of my favourite actors, Daniel Sharman.

3. Wentworth Miller. Wentworth is my all time favourite actor. He starred in Prison Break, which was the show that made me fall in love with the actor. And now he stars in The Flash, as the villain Captain Cold a.k.a Leonard Snart. Also in January he will be starring in Legends of Tomorrow, which is a spinoff from Arrow and The Flash. Wentworth hasn't had an Instagram account for long but the picture that I chose, is the new promotional poster for Legends of Tomorrow, and it looks awesome.

4. Stephen Amell. Stephen stars in Arrow as Oliver Queen a.k.a Green Arrow. Not only has he starred in one of my favourite shows, but at Summerslam he teamed up with professional wrestler Neville to take on King Barrett, and Stardust. Stardust and Stephen had been having a twitter war, and eventually Stephen got a match against Stardust. Not only that but he won a Slammy Award, for best celebrity moment on WWE. The picture I chose is of him and his daughter. I chose this picture because it is so cute.

5. Ashley Benson. Ashley plays Hanna Marin on Pretty Little Liars. And she also played Lady Lisa in the film Pixels, which is a really good film. Not only is Ashley extremely gorgeous, but she is an amazing actress. The picture I chose is of Ashley and Shay. I chose this picture because both girls look extremely gorgeous. ButtahBenzo for life.
